I am an 80-year old woman who had the fortune of having the help of Lu while I was recuperating from a fractured elbow sustained in a fall at home. Lu was a joy to be with, and her weekly visits were always positive ones. She was eager to do my care each and every visit and anything else I requested. There was always chatter and laughter, and Lu’s friendly nature made her early morning visits very pleasant. I gave my best friend’s family Lu’s name and number as my friend was at the end stage of life. Sadly, my friend passed away before the family got in touch with Lu. I know that Lu would have been the ideal PSW for my dear friend. Good luck in setting up a private care service, Lu. You have all the right qualities.

Luanne cared for my mother during the final stage of her life while she was dealing with colorectal cancer. My mom could be quite particular about who she was comfortable with, and she really didn’t take to many of the PSWs who came through the public system. With Luanne, it was completely different. My mom took a liking to her almost immediately.
 
Luanne cared for my mother as though she were her own. She was compassionate, patient, attentive, and always took the time to be personable with her rather than simply coming in, doing the required tasks, and leaving. That personal connection meant a great deal to my mom and to our entire family, especially during such a difficult time.

My mother has since passed away, but the trust we developed with Luanne has continued. She will now be helping us by checking in on my dad when we are away for a few days, which probably says more about how highly we think of her than anything else I could write.

I really can’t say enough good things about Luanne. She is someone we came to trust completely, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a compassionate, dependable, and genuinely caring PSW.
